Ubiquiti UniFi installation

Better Wi-Fi.
A clearer network.

UniFi brings Wi-Fi access points, switching and gateways into one manageable network. We help you choose the right setup, install it properly and put the support behind it, from a single office to several sites.

Wi-Fi surveys & design

Plan coverage around walls, floors, working areas and the number of devices in use. We review existing equipment and cabling before recommending access-point locations.

Access-point installation

Ceiling, wall or outdoor access points selected to suit the site. We plan mounting, cable routes and power requirements, then configure and check the agreed coverage areas.

Switching & PoE

Connect desks, access points and other network devices. We select switches around port counts, uplinks and the power needed by connected equipment.

Gateways & network separation

Configure routing and agreed access rules, with separate networks for staff, guests or other devices where needed. The design follows your systems and existing internet service.

Cabling & cabinet organisation

Copper and fibre links, patch panels and clear outlet labels. We can include new cabling or review the infrastructure already behind your network.

Handover & ongoing support

Agree management access, document the installed equipment and explain support responsibilities. We can discuss ongoing monitoring, maintenance and help with future changes.

Why UniFi?

See the network.
Make sense of it.

Ubiquiti’s UniFi networking range combines wireless access points, switches and gateways with central management. It provides a useful way to organise devices and network settings across your premises, with the equipment chosen around your actual requirements.

The platform is one part of a good installation. Access-point positions, cabling, switch power capacity and network rules all need to fit the space. We look at those details together rather than assuming a new access point will solve every connection problem.

A clear installation process

Plan it. Connect it.
Make it work for you.

Know the scope, the schedule and who owns the network afterwards.

  1. Survey the site

Review the layout, existing cabling, internet connection and device requirements. Identify the areas that need attention.

  2. Agree the design

Set out the equipment, cable runs, network configuration and installation scope. Agree access and any downtime.

  3. Install & configure

Mount the equipment, connect and label the network, configure access rules and check the agreed working areas.

  4. Hand over clearly

Share equipment records, agree ownership of management access and explain the support arrangements you have chosen.

Before your installation

A few UniFi
questions.

Share a floor plan, an equipment list or a description of the problem. We’ll help you work out the next step.

Ask about UniFi
Can you work with an existing UniFi network?

Yes. We can review the equipment, current configuration and management arrangements. Tell us who has access to the existing console so any changes or transfer of management can be agreed safely.

How many access points will we need?

That depends on the layout, building materials, device numbers and where coverage matters. A site review helps us recommend positions and capacity; floor area alone is not enough to choose an installation.

Do we need new cabling?

We review the existing outlets and links first. Where they are suitable, they can be retained. New access-point positions, additional devices or links between cabinets may need new copper or fibre cabling.

Can you separate guest Wi-Fi from staff devices?

Yes. We can configure separate wireless networks and network segments, with access rules agreed around your systems and the gateways and switches in use.

Does UniFi replace our internet connection?

No. UniFi equipment forms part of your local network. You still need an internet service; we can discuss business broadband, dedicated internet access or a backup connection alongside the installation.

Where do you install UniFi equipment?

We are based in Enfield and work with organisations across London. For other UK locations or several sites, tell us the addresses so onsite work, travel and support arrangements can be agreed.
