Factories, workshops & production

Keep people connected.
Keep work moving.

Manufacturing sites bring together office users, production teams and equipment in spaces that were not always designed for networking. We help plan reliable connections across the office, workshop and factory floor, with clear ownership of the IT behind them.

Manufacturing IT & networking

Start with what
your people need.

Good design starts with the layout, the devices and the moments when a connection matters most.

Coverage beyond the office

Metal structures, machinery and large open spaces can affect wireless coverage. We review where handhelds, laptops and other devices are actually used before planning access points or wired connections.

Separate different types of equipment

Staff computers, visitors and production-related devices may need different network access. We agree the boundaries with you and any equipment suppliers before making changes to existing connections.

Join up buildings and cabinets

A growing site can leave equipment spread across several rooms or buildings. Copper cabling, fibre links and organised cabinets provide a clearer foundation for the network.

Plan it properly

Changes with production in mind.

We start with the layout, the devices in use and the parts of the business most affected by an interruption. Office IT support and site networking can be planned together, while production machinery remains within the responsibilities agreed with your own team and equipment suppliers.

Before an installation, we discuss site access, cable routes and a suitable change window. We document the connections we install and test the agreed network areas, so your team has something useful to work from when equipment is moved or the site grows.

A few practical answers

Your sector.
Your questions.

Tell us about the systems you use and the parts of the site that need attention. We’ll help identify the next step.

Can you connect separate parts of our site?

We can survey the available routes and distances, then discuss copper or fibre links between cabinets, floors or buildings. The final design depends on the premises and equipment at each end.

Can you change the network without disrupting production?

We agree the changes and any downtime in advance. Existing machinery connections need to be reviewed with the responsible team or supplier before they are altered.

Do you support office IT as well as the network?

Yes. We can discuss managed IT support for your users alongside Wi-Fi, switching, structured cabling and business connectivity.

Plan the network behind your next shift.

Share your premises, priorities and timescale. We’ll help you work out a practical plan.
